Chinese Language Students Win at Regional Competition

On March 10th, students enrolled in Chinese language courses participated in the 5th annual Boulder Chinese Contest, organized by the Chinese Language Program in the Department of Asian Languages and Civilizations. Competitors received scores based on their vocabulary and grammar, content, pronunciation and tone, fluency, and delivery. We are proud to announce that the first place winners in the beginning and intermediate levels, Evan Larsen and Michel Stahli, went on to compete at the 2017 US Midwest Chinese Bridge Speech Contest. Their travel to participate in the Contest was funded by the College of Arts and Sciences. Evan Larsen won 3rd place in the Beginning Chinese category and Michel Stahli won 2nd place in the Intermediate Chinese category. Congratulations!
