First Place: S. Lawrence-Simon, S. Wilson, and Christina Wolfskill - team category for their paper, “KRAKEN: Kinematically Roving Autonomously Kontrolled Electro-Nautic.” They will next compete in the national competition in Orlando in January 2009 (won First Place in first international competition--see above)
Second Place: D. Berman, C. Hatcher, and Lindsay Marek - team category for their paper on “The Micro Air Reconnaissance, Launch and Imaging System (MARVLIS).”

First Place: Daniel Webster College seniors Alexandra Sobin, Gregory West, Andrew Deschenes, Kayleigh Brown for their paper, "HELIOS", a senior design project with seven team members also at UCB's Aerospace Engineering Sciences.

Best new entry: Torin Clark, Peter Klein, Geoffrey Lake, and Joshua Moore, KRAKEN senior design project (also 8th in static judging and 18th overall) at the AUVSI underwater autonomous vehicle competition at Point Loma Naval Base.
