Research

The department is home to four research centers:

BioServe Space Technologies, a leader in developing valuable life sciences applications

Center for Aerospace Structures, which studies next-generation aerospace structures

Colorado Center for Astrodynamics Research, which integrates satellite applications with the study of
  geophysical processes

Research and Engineering Center for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, a multidisciplinary center focused on

  technologies and applications of unmanned vehicle systems, including those that operate in the air,

  on land, in the sea, or in space
