This week MADS reviewed the PAB comments, from professors Maute and Emery, on our PDD and discussed with our PAB members on the specific comments in order to move forward to the CDD. Our PAB meeting was very helpful and very informative on what to do and not do on the CDD as well as giving ideas and suggestions for the project.
After the PAB meeting we dove right into the CDD and started to focus on the three possible system architectures. Initially the ideas and designs were way too specific and detailed on the ideas. After broadening the scope we got a lot more work done on our ideas. We have developed an architecture tree listing all of the possible combinations of mounting location, SV storage, and deployment mechanisms. Now we are currently (yes right now at 6:30pm on Saturday night) quantifying our ideas to find the best three combinations. We are excited to see the results and narrow down our ideas into set system architectures so we can start our trade studies for the PDR.
