Lanis (Lanny) Pinchuk,

Assistant Dean of Engineering, and Director, External Relations (CU) (retired)

Enlisted in 1952. Received commission and pilot¹s wings through the Aviation Cadet Program. Flew single and multi-engine jets and recips. Flight duties included 5 years flying VIPs in a Special Air Mission (SAM) squadron; flying KC and EC-135¹s in SAC; 135 combat missions in support of the 5th Special Forces in the Central Highlands of Vietnam as a forward air controller flying the O-lE Birddog, and various staff assignments, including working for Commander, 15th Air Forces.

Lanny Pinchuk, a founding member of the AES External Advisory Board, will receive an Honorary Doctorate at the May 9, 2014 CU-Boulder commencement. Lanny is an active and enthusiastic friend of the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences; indeed, to the University of Colorado as a whole. He truly enjoys sharing each person’s strengths and interests as he makes connections among new and familiar people. We are delighted to see him receive this recognition.
