Developing Systems Engineers
for the Aerospace Industry
The aerospace industry is calling for more and better systems engineers to field the next generation of space missions. Paul Graf will discuss this need and why new space missions require greater systems engineering skills.
He will also discuss some of the challenges in developing systems engineers and some common features of academic and government programs.
Dr. Paul Graf has over 25 years of diverse experience in the pursuit, design and development of civil space programs. As president of Aerospace Solutions, LLC, Paul provides systems engineering, non-advocate review, proposal, strategic planning and management consulting services to both industry (e.g., Ball, Boeing, and Lockheed) and NASA. In addition, he is also helping to develop both current and next generation aerospace engineers by mentoring NASA engineers and by teaching ASEN 5519 ¬ Systems Engineering for Space Missions at CU each spring.
