By supporting the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences your company is investing in the development of tomorrow’s engineering workforce and the emergence of cutting-edge technologies that will help to strengthen your organization in the future.

From program excellence and graduate fellowships to support for faculty research or sponsorship of student projects, we can help you find meaningful opportunities for partnering with our department that align with your company’s specific goals and values.

Give Online Now
Make an immediate contribution to one of these top department priorities:

Aerospace Excellence Fund
Join us in building on a rich tradition of excellence in aerospace research and technological development. Our department is uniquely characterized by a blend of aeronautics, astronautics, and science applications. Your gift will help to improve laboratory facilities or to purchase necessary equipment for students and faculty to design both aircraft and spacecraft systems, or to develop the science experiments that fly upon such craft, measuring the effects of global changes or discovering new planets.

Graduate Fellowship Fund
The entire amount of your gift will go to attract, support, and retain talented graduate students. Competition among universities is tight, and your gift will enable us to offer a better package to top graduate candidates who are interested in working with our world-renowned faculty to further our knowledge in the many fields of research in the Department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences.

Student Projects Fund
Undergraduates design projects through hands-on experiential learning in team settings, culminating in a specific project their senior year, while graduate students cultivate entrepreneurship and innovation through projects that may span several years. This fund pays for materials and the expertise of engineers and other staff to assist students in designing, building, and testing their aerospace concepts, and also supports student travel to aerospace competitions and conferences.

Aerospace Endowment (minimum $25,000)
Give to the general aerospace endowment or establish an endowment in your name (or to honor another), and the interest earned over the years will continually gift the Aerospace Engineering Sciences department. Contact Penina Axelrad (penina.axelrad@colorado.edu) regarding endowments.

Major donations are also solicited to support construction of our new Aerospace and Energy Systems Building. If you are interested in making a major gift, please contact the Department Chair, Penina Axelrad (penina.axelrad@colorado.edu, 303-492-8183), or Melinda Seevers (melinda.seevers@cufund.org, 303-492-7335).

Volunteer
Industry representatives provide valuable perspectives to the college that influence the direction of our teaching and research. Students also benefit from direct interaction with working engineers serving as volunteer mentors, competition judges, and guest speakers. Learn more about corporate volunteering.
