Q. What classes should I take in high school to prepare for a major in Aerospace Engineering?

A. Please refer to the Office of Admissions Website - Freshman Criteria for Admission.  Also, please view the Minimum Academic Preparation Standards (MAPS) from the Office of Admissions Website for the College of Engineering and Applied Science. 

A. The MAPS listed for Engineering include 4 units of English, 4 units of Mathematics, 3 units of Natural Science, 3 units of Social Science, 3 units of a Single Foreign Language (or 2 units in each of 2 separate foreign languages).  One unit is equal to one year of high school coursework.  Students interested in pursuing Aerospace Engineering are encouraged to complete 1 year of physics and 1 year of chemistry in high school.
