We're Freezin' for a Reason! Do you have what it takes to chill with us? Get involved with the cooolest event of the year! There'll be AWESOME prizes at the after party at Harpo's including gift cards from retailers on The Hill and all around Boulder!
Plunge into the frigid waters of Boulder Reservoir in order to raise money for Special Olympics Colorado. Plungers must pledge or raise a minimum of $85 to participate ($50 for students and Special Olympics athletes). All plungers will receive a long sleeve t-shirt. Pledges above and beyond the minimum fee are eligible for additional incentives. Gather a team together, wear crazy costumes, have even more fun and win team prizes!
Too chicken to Plunge? No problem, you can still be part of the fun. Simply register as a chicken, raise pledges and receive incentives just like a regular plunger except no going into the icy water.
Check-in starts at 11 AM, the Plunge will be at 1 PM. After the plunge, dry off, get warm and join us at the Polar Plunge after party. To get started, click on the "Join Now" button on our site. |

CU Women Succeeding: The 10th Annual Professional Development Symposium
Thursday, February 23 at 5:30pm in UMC 235 AND
Friday, February 24 at 8:00am in Glenn Miller Ballroom
Hosted by the Chancellor's Committee on Women (CCW) and Faculty Council Women's Committee, this event is open to faculty, staff, and students in the CU system.
This event features a dinner and networking opportunity where you can meet women in academia and the CCW Women's Advocacy Award recipients on Thursday night. The evening will conclude with the Folklorist Sandra Mizumoto Posey sharing timeless lessons about leadership do's and don'ts.
Friday begins with a keynote address from Marcy Benson followed by 21 information-packed sessions. Topics range from tips on negotiating, political savvy for succeeding in academia, "the hormone highway," civil behaviors in the workplace, sexism, stress reduction, mentoring, and management -- and that's just a sample! You'll also hear an inspring talk from the 2012 Gee Award recipient, an individual who advocates for women or continually works to improve the climate for women at CU. |

CUPA is offering merit based, non-renewable scholarships worth $2,500 per year to continuing or transfer undergraduate students who will be sophomores, juniors, or seniors for the 2012-13 academic year.
