The Program in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (PAOS) is an interdisciplinary
program at the University of Colorado that provides an educational and research environment to study the dynamical, physical and chemical processes of the atmosphere
and the ocean.
Requirements for a Graduate Certificate in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences:
1. Approval by the ASEN Certificate Chairman of your proposed course
selection.
2. Completion, with a grade of B or better, of a total of four courses from
the approved list of PAOS/ASEN courses.
3. Upon completion of your courses, submission of a letter to the ASEN
Graduate Program Advisor requesting a Certificate in Atmospheric and
Oceanic Sciences, for consideration by the ASEN Certificate Chair.
List of PAOS courses suitable for ASEN students:
ASEN 5215: Oceanography
ASEN 5235/ATOC 5235: Introduction to atmospheric radiative transfer
