Professional Area Electives

Q. What are Professional Area Electives (PAEs) and how many credits do I have to complete?

A. Professional Area Electives are 3000, 4000, & 5000-level Math, Science & Engineering Courses.  Students can use PAE courses to specialize their degree focus.  Aerospace majors must complete 12 credit hours of Professional Area Electives. 

 

Q. Where can I find a list of Professional Area Electives?

A. Since it is open to all 3000, 4000 or 5000-level Math, Science or Engineering courses there is not an official list. However, here is a list of PAEs that are available.  Students must make sure that they have the prerequisites for the courses.  This document may not be up to date - please view the University Course Catalog, the department or Schedule Planner to obtain the most current information about each course.

Graduation Information For Seniors

Q. I'm planning to graduate this year - what do I need to do?

A. Please read the Road To Graduation

A. Please visit the University of Colorado Commencement Website.  It contains all pertinent information.

A. Please go to the Engineering Deans Office Front Desk (ECAD 100) and complete a Diploma Card.  This is the only way to inform the Office of the Registrar that they need to issue you a diploma.
