Mary Beth Searles

Biography

Mary Beth Searles is the Assistant Dean for Advancement at the College of Media, Communication and Information. In this position, she works closely with CMCI Dean Lori Bergen to lead the school’s development and alumni relations programs. Before joining CMCI, Mary Beth was Assistant Dean for Advancement at CU Law for five years. She also headed up development for several nonprofit organizations, including the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center, the Denver Dumb Friends League, and the Teton Valley Ranch Camp Education Foundation. Prior to embarking on a fundraising career, Mary Beth spent six years in private legal practice as a litigation associate in the Denver offices of Baker Hostetler LLP and Perkins Coie LLP. Mary Beth has a law degree from CU and an undergraduate degree in journalism from Northwestern University.
