Ralphie's Group and Community Visits
Ralphie's Group and Community Visits are campus visits for high school student groups, transfer students, sports organizations, or local community groups of eight or more people. The two hour program includes an information session hosted by a CU-Boulder admissions representative and a student-led campus tour.
Review the information below for more details and to request a visit program for your group.
While we always enjoy hosting student groups on campus, we do have a few considerations to be aware of as you make your reservation:
- Students must be in high school or college.*
- There must be at least one chaperone for every 20 students.
- Reservations are required and must be made at least three weeks in advance.
- Please arrive on time for your scheduled visit. Due to our volunteer students' class schedules we cannot accommodate groups that arrive late. Groups that arrive after their confirmed visit time are subject to cancellation.
- Visits are not available in January, May, October, or December.
- Visits are only available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays beginning at 10:30am.
*If you have an elementary or middle school group you would like to bring to campus, please contact the SORCE program (Student Outreach Retention Center for Equity) at 303-492-1371. Transfer student groups are welcome from community colleges or other four-year institutions.
If your group is interested in eating lunch in the Center for Community, please send (email, fax, or mail) a tax exempt certificate to Vanessa Roman shortly after you submit the Ralphie’s Visit Request Form. With the tax exempt certificate, the cost will be .50 per person for a single meal card. If you do not have a tax exempt certificate, the price is .00 per person. Lunch transactions will be conducted before your Admissions Information Session.
If your group would like to enjoy lunch on campus a la carte, the University Memorial Center has various offerings for various meal preferences.

Please plan to arrive on campus at the University Memorial Center (UMC) between 10:20 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Give yourself adequate time to orient yourself with campus. The tour begins promptly at 10:30 a.m.; arrival after 10:40 a.m., without adequate notification, is subject to cancellation of your campus tour and information session.
We encourage you to print and bring our Ralphie’s and Community Visitor's Guide for your convenience during your visit.

The University of Colorado Boulder is located in Boulder, Colorado - 30 miles northwest of Denver and 45 miles northwest of the Airport (Denver International Airport). The Boulder area offers a wide array of activities ranging from hiking and biking to shopping, amazing dining, and entertainment. We hope you are able to explore the community of Boulder while you are visiting campus. If you are interested in on-campus life, we encourage you to view the University of Colorado Boulder’s calendar of events or other local Boulder attractions for activities after your visit on campus.
After your visit, we encourage the group coordinator to submit an admission counselor evaluation form to help us improve our program.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact the Ralphie’s Visit Coordinator, Obi Onyeali, at email@example.com or 303.492.1498.
If you cancel or wish to reschedule a group visit, you must notify us 24 hours in advance. Rescheduling a visit requires completing and submitting a new Ralphie's Visit Request Form. We cannot guarantee that your new visit date will be in the same semester due to potential scheduling conflicts. Please note that a reservation request does not guarantee availability.
