Daily Information Sessions and Campus Tours

Information sessions and campus tours provide a great overview of CU-Boulder and the Buffalo community. Information sessions and campus tours include a one hour information presentation led by an admissions representative, followed by a 90 minute, student-led walking tour of campus.

Information sessions and campus tours are held Monday through Friday beginning at 9:30 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. and select Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. Information sessions and campus tours are free to all guests and designed to help answer questions about the undergraduate experience at CU-Boulder.

Planning your Visit

Step 1: Choose a visit date

Information Sessions and Campus Tours are held Monday through Friday at 9:30 a.m. and at 1:30 p.m. and select Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. We do not offer Information Sessions and Campus Tours during University Holidays or on Sundays.

As you plan your visit, we also encourage you to view CU-Boulder’s calendar of events and our visit announcements page. CU-Boulder's campus can be very busy; we host a number of athletic events, performing arts programs, concerts, and more.

Step 2: Make your reservation

In order to provide a positive experience for every guest, we ask that you register for an event two weeks prior to visiting campus. Walk-in space is not guaranteed. You must register for an event to ensure your space.

  • To register for an event, students must log in to their MyCUBoulder account.  After you have logged in, click the ‘Visit CU’ tab, then click on ‘Register for an Event’
  • If you have not created a MyCUBoulder account, click here to get started.
  • Family members should call the Office of Admissions at 303-492-6301 for assistance with scheduling a visit.

Following registration, an e-mail confirmation will be sent to the student’s e-mail address with more information about where to park, location of the session, and directions.  You may also download a copy of your visit guide.

Step 3: Plan your visit

The University of Colorado Boulder is located in sunny Boulder, Colorado -  located 30 miles northwest of Denver.  The Boulder area offers a wide array of activity ranging from hiking and biking to shopping, amazing dining, and entertainment.  We hope you are able to explore the community of Boulder while you are visiting campus.

Step 4: Day of your visit

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your session. Give yourself adequate time to find the session location and parking. For complete directions and parking information, please download your visit guide. We also encourage you to check our visit announcements page, which will provide you with updates about campus activities and construction that may impact your visit.

After your information session and campus tour, if you have additional questions,  please feel free to drop-by the Office of Admissions or Financial Aid.  Both are located in the Regent Administrative Center. We also encourage you to explore campus. You may pick up a self-guided tour map at your information session or in the Office of Admissions.

In addition to the campus tour, you may want to check out the following:

As you plan your visit, we also encourage you to view CU-Boulder’s calendar of events. CU-Boulder's campus can be very busy; we host a number of athletic events, performing arts programs, concerts, and more.

Step 5: Additional tours

In addition to the information session and campus tour, we have optional tours that showcase specific colleges and facilities on campus. Please note that these sessions are limited. At this time, we are unable to schedule private tours.

College of Engineering and Applied Science Tours
Tours of the College of Engineering and Applied Science are available on weekdays at 12:15 p.m. Tours begin in the lobby of the Engineering Center near the double doors. At this time reservations are not required. Interested students and parents should meet in the engineering lobby 5 minutes before the start of the tour.

Leeds School of Business Tours
During the school year, the Leeds School of Business will offer tours Monday through Friday at 12:30 p.m. Tours are led by Leeds Ambassadors, who are current undergraduate student leaders. Tours begin at the welcome desk, located on the second floor, just up the main staircase inside the front entrance. This entrance is directly across from the Coors Event Center.

Reservations are not required for Engineering or Business tours, however we ask that you arrive 5 minute prior to the start of the tour.

In the case of inclement weather, please check our homepage or Facebook for updates and cancellations.

We hope to answer all of your questions at the information session and campus tour, however, if you would need additional information, please contact us at apply@colorado.edu.

If you would like to spend more time on campus, please consider one of our All Day Visit Programs. These programs provide an opportunity to get an in-depth look at CU-Boulder through presentations by current faculty, staff, and students. We are unable to accommodate students who want to attend classes or stay in the residence halls overnight with current students.

If you are interested in bringing a group of students (eight or more) to campus, we would like to customize your group's experience. Please visit Ralphie's Group and Community Visits to find out how to make your reservation.

If you are not able to attend a regularly scheduled information session, campus tour, or visit program, take our virtual tour or download our self-guided tour map.
