How to Apply for Housing

Is your student ready to apply for housing? Here is a step-by-step guide to make sure it goes smoothly.

  1. Confirm intent to enroll. Have your student log into MyCUBoulder and click on the ‘Confirm’ tab to pay the confirmation deposit online. You may also download the confirmation form and mail it in. It typically takes at least one business day for the confirmation to update in our system once it has been received.
  2. IdentiKey activation. After the confirmation deposit has been processed, your student can activate their IdentiKey (your student’s log-in name for all online CU-Boulder student services) through their MyCUBoulder account or by clicking here. Wait at least one business day to start the housing application, so the information has time to transfer.
  3. Research all options. Visit the Housing and Dining Services website to research all of the different options available to your student. Here are some helpful links: Residence Halls, Room Types, Residence Hall Communities
  4. Begin housing application. Access the application through your student’s MyCUBoulder account or directly off of the Housing & Dining Services website.
