When I was in High School, I started doing Yoga with my mom as way to bond and a way to get through my senioritis. This is when I realized that I really liked doing yoga as a way to work out. Since I've been in college, I've loved finding new ways to excercise and new classes to attend. One of my favorite things to still do is attend yoga classes. This can get pretty expensive since drop in classes are a little too pricey for me, even though they do have student discounts which is really nice. I go when I can, but this can add up.
This past weekend, my sister found the CorePower Yoga Studio offers free community classes on Saturdays. I was really excited to go to this class with her when she told me. In Boulder, there are a ton of yoga studios and many of the residents love to attend these classes as a way to unwind and connect with themselves. A lot of these classes can be pretty hard and advanced, especially for me who isn't that great at Yoga. When I read the description it said it was for all levels and would go over the basics. I thought that this was perfect! We walked into the studio at 12:45 and layed our mats out on the ground next to some pretty tattoed people. When our instructor walked in he looked exactly like Dexter, which was a little scary at first. This class ended up being amazing. It was challenging but also very relaxing. I definitely needed a little unwinding with the end of the semester approaching. I felt so relaxed after this class and very refreshed about school and all of my responsibilities. I will definitely be attending the next class on Saturday!
