Run Boulder

Wednesday, April 23, 2014

Hello Everyone!

I hope these final days in April are finding you well! I would like to take this time to quickly tell you what I have been up to: training for a 15k!

I only decided to sign up a couple of weeks ago, but it was enough time for me to get in some quick training in before the race (which is this Saturday).

Crazy Colorado Weather

Tuesday, April 15, 2014

Hello everyone!

I am so excited to announce that spring has finally sprung in Boulder!! Tulips are starting to appear on campus, and I can actually walk to class without having to wear gloves! In fact, all last week the weather was in the 70s!

#springbreak2014

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Hello everyone!

After our first round of midterms of the semester, Spring Break could not have come at a better time! Although the most popular college Spring Break destinations include Cabo, Las Vegas, and Miami, I chose to go on a backcountry skiing trip in the mountains outside of Aspen!

Thankfully, the trip was organized by a group of friends who had gone in the past (because I sure had no idea what to do!). They sent out a gear list, explained the terrain, and even prepared all of the food ahead of time and divided it up into our packs.

Jam-packed Weekend with the Sister

Wednesday, March 12, 2014

Hi everyone!

This past weekend was one of the best weekends of the year for a number of reasons:

1) Daylight Savings – it now stays lighter later, which means more time for outdoor activities during the day!

2) The weather thought it was already almost summer, and decided to hold between 60 and 72 degrees (which is seriously unheard of at this time of year!)

3) My little sister came to visit me!!

The Beauty of Intramurals

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

Hi everyone!

I just have to start off by pointing out the unbelievable weather we have this week! It is sunny and a solid 55 degrees in the middle of the day (in the beginning of March, no less!)  It practically feels like summer! Even in the midst of midterms, I can tell that there is a slightly different feeling when walking around campus – people just seem happier! I see kids studying out on Farrand field, playing football in the quads, and actually running outside instead of in the gym. Yes, life is good.

To the Mountains or Bust!

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

Hello readers!

I write this blog from a coffee shop on the hill in between classes. I often wonder how all of the coffee shops in Boulder stay in business because there seems to be one on every corner! But, I guess when you have a population of college students who survive on caffeine and need a place to study, the more the merrier!

Eat, Study, Sleep, Repeat

Tuesday, February 11, 2014

Hello everyone!

I am writing this post from the Weather Tech Cafe in the C4C! This is one of my favorite places to hang out on campus because it has a really great atmosphere and a convenient location – it is close to the residence halls, so I always see someone I know here!

Life on Campus

Wednesday, February 5, 2014

Hello all!

I would like to dedicate this blog to telling you about living on campus!

All freshman are required to live on campus their first year; however, after that, you may choose to find your own apartment or house, or stay on campus! Here at CU, we have 23 different residence halls to choose from when you submit your housing application, that is, after you have been accepted into the university.

We like to say that there are basically 3 different “neighborhoods” you may choose to live in.

X Games in Aspen!

Tuesday, January 28, 2014

Hello everyone! I can’t believe it is almost February and our first round of midterms are coming up…yikes!

So this weekend rocked! I finished all of my weekend homework ahead of time and a group of friends and I drove up to Aspen to watch the X Games! We left Friday afternoon after all of our classes were finished and arrived just about dinnertime. My friend, Kelsey, was nice enough to let us all stay at her family’s vacation house which was a real treat considering there were 11 of us!
