5 semesters- Completed!

Friday, December 19, 2014

Hi everyone!

I'm DONE! 5 finals, 1 10 page paper, done. 2 grades are in, I'm waiting on 3. Now I can take a breath, and sleep until a later time in the morning besides 7:30am. Things are good.

Study Break

Monday, December 15, 2014

Hi everyone!

1 Final Down, 4 To Go!

This morning I decided to take the healthiest of study breaks, and finally go to the gym. Research shows that exercising frequently can contribute to better test scores and better information retention.  Or at least that's what everyone says! If you aren't studying, and you aren't sleeping or eating a meal, the best thing you can do for yourself is work out.

The Finals Struggle

Sunday, December 14, 2014

Hi All,

Finals start today... which is both exciting and scary at the same time. I have a pretty heavy load of finals this semester. I have 5. Most people have fewer than that... but I have heard of some poor people who have 6.

How I Knew CU Was Right For Me

Wednesday, December 10, 2014

Hi everyone!

As a tour guide, I get asked pretty frequently what influenced my decision to commit to CU.  There are ton of reasons why I love, and loved, CU now and when I was in high school... In fact, I'll list some of them now:

Top Notch Volunteer Opportunities

Friday, December 5, 2014

Hi everyone,

Probably at this point, you know that I am in a volunteer fraternity on campus, Alpha Phi Omega.  Actually, as I'm writing this, I am sitting in our office in the UMC!  This semester is my second semester with the group and I have had so much fun this semester volunteering with different organizations.

I wanted to write a blog to talk about some of the best events I've done this semester to show the diversity of our volunteer opportunities.

Reasons why I love volunteering:

1. It allows you to give back to community, in a fun way.

HRAP Life

Monday, December 1, 2014

Hi everyone!

I'm digging through the archives for this one... but one of the best decisions I've made throughout my college carreer is joining HRAP.  I got accepted into the Honors Program before I was a Freshman, and that allowed me to live in the Honors Residential Academic Program.  To this day, some of my most favorite memories are from Freshman year, with the amazing friends I made in my hall.

Fraternizing

Friday, October 10, 2014

Why, hello!

Last weekend, I went to Calwood Learning Center with my fraternity for a retreat we have every semester! This was the first time (because this is only my second semester involved!) that I got to know what was going on behind the scenes! As a pledge, you don't really know what planning and such goes into it.  It was a ton of fun and I got to spend time with my new future brothers and some that I hadn't met last year! I love being part of the traditions, and getting to know everyone better!
