Fraternizing

Friday, October 10, 2014

Why, hello!

Last weekend, I went to Calwood Learning Center with my fraternity for a retreat we have every semester! This was the first time (because this is only my second semester involved!) that I got to know what was going on behind the scenes! As a pledge, you don't really know what planning and such goes into it.  It was a ton of fun and I got to spend time with my new future brothers and some that I hadn't met last year! I love being part of the traditions, and getting to know everyone better!

The Condensed Version of My Life (Over the last 3ish Weeks)

Friday, October 3, 2014

Greetings readers!

It has been a while since I’ve written… What can I say? I lead a hectic life. Let me tell you about it!

Since my last post, I have:

1.       Studied for, and taken, 1 quiz and 5 midterms.

2.       Had class outside. Yay, college!

3.       Went home for a lovely night, to do laundry and spend time with my parents.

4.       Tried my first Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks… not my thing… and it’s orange.

5.       Also tried Pumpkin Chai from my favorite coffee shop on campus, which is much better, but super spicy.

Clubs, and Teams, and Organizations, Oh My!

Wednesday, September 3, 2014

Heyo everyone!

Today I worked at the Involvement Fair held at the UMC.  Every semester, CU holds a fair, yes, the Involvement Fair (!) where all of the school's student groups set up tables so that people know what's out there. It is a great way to figure out what activities you want to invest time in, each semester.  Last year, I tabled for Student Ambassadors, and this year, I went for Alpha Phi Omega.  It really got me thinking about all of the different groups I've tried out, and all of the ones I wish I could join if I had time!

(110) Days of Summer

Tuesday, August 26, 2014

Hey everyone!

Whoa! It’s August! I have just completed my second day of my junior year, and man, am I tired!  A couple first thoughts about my first days:

1.       I feel really old!

2.       And yet, I still forgot which building Ekeley was… How embarrassing! Ha.

3.       I’m really excited for my classes!

4.       I am not at all excited for all of the reading I have to do.

5.       It is wonderful to be back with old friends and to be making new ones.

Here’s to a great semester!

Glacier Homemade Ice Cream

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Hi everyone,

I remember once when I was little, when my family was travelling around the east coast, we toured the Ben and Jerry’s factory in Vermont.  I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, but I still have very distinct memories of being there, walking around, seeing the machines that put ice cream into the cartons, and, of course, the free samples at the end.

Skiing at Loveland

Sunday, April 6, 2014

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying some Spring-time warmth! Having lived in Colorado almost my whole life, I am fully aware that Spring means Snow! Which is great, because we need the moisture.  It also makes for great skiing.

Springtime!

Sunday, March 23, 2014

Hello everyone!

CU Boulder is on Spring break!  I know a lot of people going out of town, or road tripping with friends, but I am just going home, to Centennial, CO, which is just south of Denver.  I am really looking forward to spending time with my parents and relaxing at home.  I am also hoping to get some skiing in! Unfortunately, I have a lot to do over break, including some projects for some classes and I have to find a summer job.  But I am definitely looking forward to doing nothing for a while!
