This semester, along with the many activities I have previously participated in, I will be taking on the role as the Campus Marketing Manager for a company called Boundless.

Last Semester of College

Thursday, January 31, 2013

This first week of school has been bitter sweet. On one hand I am excited for all of my classes, especially African Dance! But on the other, the idea of heading off to the real world in just under five months is a bit daunting. Yes, it has been stressful searching for jobs and trying to figure out what I will do once I leave the Boulder Bubble, but it has also been invigorating to know that I have to opportunity to pursue a career that I love.

Have you voted?

Wednesday, November 7, 2012

The beginning of November has been very momentous. We've had the first snow of the season, the second round of midterms (it's a deceiving term...) and this ever present question, "Have you voted". That's right folks, not even the students at CU Boulder can avoid this badgering question, asked by nearly every passerby, on the way to class.

CU Boulder in a Snow Globe

Thursday, October 25, 2012

As most of you know, Varsity Lake is my favorite place to be on campus, and it is even more beautiful during the winter. I absolutely love the way campus is glossed with these tiny, glittery snow flakes, which makes the entire University look like a giant snow globe.

College on a Budget

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

While I was giving some prospective students a tour this past Monday, I was asked by a lovely parent how I manage to eat healthy and still afford to go out and do things with friends. Although I tried to elaborate as best as I could with the amount of time we had left, I still feel like there was more I could have explained about being a college student on a budget.

Falling for Autumn

Friday, October 5, 2012

Like most weeks in Colorado, we began with 80 degree weather on Monday, and we're finishing the week with temps in the mid-30s. If you didn't already know, autumn is my favorite time of year, and ladies and gentlemen, I believe it is here! The trees are beginning to turn a beautiful golden, red color, and my whole world is starting to chill.

Pitch Perfect!

Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Monday night I was sitting in my apartment, wondering what I should do to celebrate finishing my first round of mid-terms. I knew I wanted to do something on campus, because my wallet is currently tighter than santa's pants, and campus events are generally free for students. I decided to check out the Program Council website (http://programcouncil.com/), to see if there were any free events.

Cure Search for Children's Cancer

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

Throughout my three years at CU Boulder, I have been looking for more and more ways to become involved on campus and in the Boulder community. With so many different clubs, non-profit organizations, and places to volunteer, sometimes it can be hard to decide which group I would like to participate in next. Well, I can honestly say, choosing to participate in the 3rd annual Cure Search for Children's Cancer walk was a simple decision, in fact, this is an event that is very personal to me.

The Sweet Life

Friday, September 14, 2012

Have you ever been strolling down the street and you stumble upon something great? This happened to me this past weekend while I was on a quest to find some fresh air. Between studying for my upcoming midterms and trying to brainstorm fundraising ideas for varies clubs I work with, my apartment was feeling very small.

CU Boulder - From A New Perspective

Thursday, September 6, 2012

Last week, during my second Travel Writing class, the Professor asked us a question. She said, "Describe this room." There I am thinking - oh great! How am I - an Anthropology major - going to describe this room? In my own opinion, my writing skills often lack description, so this seemed like a daunting task. I sat staring at my blank page for over ten minutes, wondering how I was going to get out of this - and then something outside caught my attention.
