Ski Season

Friday, March 9, 2012

So one of the best parts of living in Colorado has to be ski season. With the big resorts only a 2-3 hour drive away from Boulder, how could you not learn to ski or snowboard? When I got to CU freshman year, I started to learn to snowboard. Now, 2 years and a lot of falls and bruises later, I can kind of hold my own on the mountain! I thought I'd share some pictures from my last few excursions to the mountains so you all can see what Shaun White is up against.

So You Think You Can Be a Pilot?

Monday, February 13, 2012

So this week on my blog, I thought I’d let you all in on a little hobby of mine. Flying planes. By myself.

So Much Snow!

Thursday, February 9, 2012

Hey everyone! It looks like we're getting settled into spring semester here. Unfortunately, this means that midterms are approaching. I just had my first midterm in my biochemistry class, and besides a few topics I completely forgot about, I think it went ok. Besides that, everything feels pretty normal around here!

Winter Break/Return to School

Wednesday, January 18, 2012

Hey everyone!

It's been a long and restful break for me, but school has started, and I'm back in the game. I got to spend all of the break back home in Texas, which was very nice, but I did miss the awesome snowfall we had in Boulder. While I had a ton of downtime at home, I did get out and do some cool things.

We Finally Won!

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

We did it! The CU football team got its first win against the University of Arizona this past Saturday! It was so strange to see the Buffs playing at such a high and successful level, but I loved it!

First Snow/Winter

Sunday, November 6, 2011

Hey everyone!

Now that it's November, it's definitely winter in Boulder! We had our fist snow about two weeks ago, and it was absolutely breathtaking. See my photos below for details, but when the flatirons are frosted after a snowfall, it's hard to go to class and not just stare at them.

Fraternities at CU

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Why hello! Sorry I've been so bad about this blog in the past few months, it's just been non-stop work and excitement this semester! I've been busy with the marching band, applying for (and receiving, as of this weekend) a grant to do research on campus, doubling the size of my fraternity (a huge accomplishment!), trying to continue flight lessons, giving tours, tutoring a couple students, and a tough class load on top of that! Not that it's not rewarding; it just uses up almost all of my time!

Football!

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

Now that it's fall again, it signals the return of football season! Football season is one of the greatest times of year because not only are the Buffs playing, but the entire NFL (barring lockouts) is playing. Since I don't really have an NFL team, there's so many games to watch, and I don't have to worry about which team to hate! The college games are always fun to watch, but I really only watch the CU ones, which can sometimes lead to mild depression.
