My Yayta's 80th

Wednesday, March 6, 2013

In honor of my grandfather's 80th birthday celebration at the Flagstaff House this weekend, I have prepared a brief scrapbook entry on his behalf.  Enjoy!

Study Abroad!

Thursday, February 28, 2013

My study abroad experience in Salamanca, Spain during the fall of 2013 and South America during the spring of 2014 is one that I am undertaking in order to grow personally, culturally, and academically.  I have spent countless hours planning for this semester, and I believe that it will be extremely enriching across all areas of my being.  The things I will learn, places I will see, and most importantly people that I will meet will add a much-needed fresh perspective to the way I see the world and approach my daily life.

CO Love

Friday, February 22, 2013

Among the perks of attending CU includes the ability to pack up at any point and head to the mountains in search of adventure.  This morning, my roommate Philip and I, following an unannounced snowstorm Wednesday and Thursday, skiied up at Loveland and made it back to campus in time for afternoon classes.  The stereotypical "Boulder" experience certainly never disappoints.

Another Day in the Life

Saturday, February 9, 2013

Sitting at the end of this crazy week, I will stop and reflect for a second on the whirlwind that it was.  Consuming my mind, body, and soul, the past few days have pushed me to my limits and drawn me extremely thin, but at the end of it all I am grateful for the experiences I've had and the journey I am living.  Everything will become clear before Spring Break, and I am excited for what lies ahead.

Peanut Butter and Lovin

Saturday, January 26, 2013

Today, as a part of the Norlin Scholars welcome back event for the spring semester, I went with a group walking around Boulder, distributing peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to the homeless.  It was a great start to the weekend.

Broncos Football

Sunday, January 20, 2013

Today, as I sit down to watch the NFL conference championship games, I am absolutely miserable.  A week ago, I was at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, watching my beloved Denver Broncos blow a late-game lead against the Baltimore Ravens.  I will always bleed orange and blue, but the end to this season was especially tough for me as well as all of Bronco Nation.

The League

Monday, January 7, 2013

Starting in 6th grade, my friends and I have engaged in our country's most popular hobby.  No, not NASCAR, not fishing, not baseball, not even political partisanship.  A pastime that captures the minds, hearts, and productive work times of millions of Americans today.  The one and only fantasy football.

Finals Grind

Monday, January 7, 2013

After surviving the latest round of finals, I am more than glad to be on winter break.  This semester was especially stressful for me, for a few reasons.  However, I was certainly not alone in my finals dread.
