Reboot, Recharge

Monday, November 28, 2011

This past week, CU had the entire week off of school to celebrate the holidays. After 13 weeks of going strong, students packed up their suticases and headed home, ready to kick their feet up, take hour long naps, eat homecooking, and take showers that actually have decent pressure (or maybe that's just me). It was both well deserved and well needed.

Holy Hectic Week!

Monday, October 24, 2011

This week is nuts for me! Man, between picking up extra shifts between work, two papers, a midterm, and a presentation, I'm really regretting all the procrastination I did this weekend. I'm barely going to have time to plan a halloween costume! Speaking of which... I'm so excited for halloween to be here! It's the most fun time of the year at CU. The whole thing is kicked off with the Nearly-Naked-Mile-- a clothing drive that requires you to wear at least 5 (hopefully more!) articles of clothing to the event and then strip them off and go for a run!

Midterm Madness

Monday, September 26, 2011

There always comes a week or two in the semester where mid terms hit you like a frieght train. A tsunami of study guides, study groups, and general studying washes over you. Unlike finals, where everyone is suffering, midterm madness selects a few students at a time to overwhelm before taking the next few prey. And, this week I'm in the thick of it.

Rocky Mountain "showdown"

Rockies in the Rain

This past weekend marked one of the biggest events for CU students for the year: the CU vs CSU game. A rivalry with deep roots, the Rocky Mountain Showdown is held every year at the Bronco's stadium in Denver. The CU-CSU game draws students, alumni, and parents alike to root for their team, hopping to attain bragging rights for the rest of the year.
