Wrapping Up

Thursday, December 6, 2012

Today I completed my second to last day of the week before the week before finals! So basically, I still have a week before finals start, which is fine by me - more time to prepare! The end of the semester projects start to wrap up around this time, so I've had a good amount of time to relax and do fun things before the real stress of studying kicks in!

Before the Home Stretch

Saturday, December 1, 2012

I always feel like the week after a break is (relatively) stress free because I did all my work to catch up over break! But that doesn't mean final tests and projects aren't keeping their distance from me - we have two weeks until finals!

Thanksgiving Break

Sunday, November 25, 2012

Thanksgiving break is coming to a close, and as always, it flew by too fast! I was able to go to Winter Park to a friend's cabin for a night with a morning full of skiing. Even without the snow, WP has made fake snow and the mountain was actually pretty fun to ski! On the way home from Winter Park I always stop at a little treat shop called Lewis Sweet Shop in Empire, Colorado. They make the most amazing milkshakes! They have at least 20 flavors to choose from, and if you order yours thick it's like a blended soft served piled twice as high in the cup.

Perks of Colorado!

Monday, November 12, 2012

Hi, all! This week has been crazy busy as usual. Tuesday I had another test, and I think it went well! It's always such a relief to believe you actually did well rather than having the fear in your mind that it may have not gone as planned :)

Halloweek!

Sunday, November 4, 2012

This week was awesome because Halloween landed on a Wednesday, meaning the celebration lasted for multiple nights! I came home to my roommates carving pumpkins or making pumpkin flavored food almost every day. On the weekend before Halloween, my roommates and I went to a couple of costume parties being held by our friends and other Young Life leaders. I dressed up as the black swan, wearing multiple tutus and fake eyelashes! As always, the costume parties turned into dance parties and places to catch up with people you hadn't seen in a while, so it was really fun.

A Week Of Fun!

Saturday, October 27, 2012

This week, I had gotten all my homework done on the weekend, so all week I really had no work that was pressing me to get it done! That was nice because I was able to do a lot of social events and spend some time cleaning up my room and using up the last few days of my CorePower Yoga month membership!

Catching Up On Sleep

Saturday, October 20, 2012

Hi, all!

This week was not super eventful for me because I woke up Tuesday morning with the flu! Being sick and away from mom is always a difficult task, but I'm feeling a lot better now. I caught up on much needed sleep, so I'm energized for the weekend ahead!

Buff-Style Weekend

Friday, October 5, 2012

Hey all!

Crazy past week here at CU, in the best way!

The weekend started off with the CU vs UCLA game, and as always, the Student Section is the best place to be. My roommate and my favorite part of Parent's Weekend is when Chip, the CU mascot, brings his parents and baby brother to the game! We made it our mission the whole game to try to find them and get a picture... and in the third quarter we finally did! SO EXCITING! I attached a picture here below!

The Tests Are Upon Us!

Friday, September 28, 2012

This week has settled down for me a bit with my extracurricular activities, but school is beginning to pick up. I have my first test of the semester next week, so I spent time with my professor figuring out how to prepare for her exam. It’s in my psychopathology class, where we are learning the symptoms and treatment methods for anxiety and depressive disorders, so I should be able to remember the material by using real life examples of the disorders!
