FINALLY DONE!

Wednesday, May 7, 2014

Well, it's official! I have finished all assignments and aspects of my undergrad degree at CU Boulder! After my last final at 7:30 AM on Monday morning (yes, that is early for college kids) ended around 8:30, I made my way to the fifth floor lounge deck in the University Memorial Center to shamelessly send a selfie of myself with the Flatirons to my mom, dad, and 80 of my closest Snapchat friends. It was a pretty weird feeling to think I didn't have anything looming over my head to complete next! Everything was COMPLETELY done! Below is a picture of my Snapchat.

Last But Not Least...

Sunday, April 27, 2014

The past two weeks and the two weeks ahead are full of "lasts" for me. I feel like I am constantly seeking "firsts" in my life (and especially shared on this blog!) such as my first time to Trader Joes, Dunkin' Donuts, a new hiking trail, a new campus event, etc. But with graduation soon approaching, I find myself going through a crazy number of "lasts"!

Quick Trips

Monday, April 14, 2014

One of the best things about college is the variable scheduling. For me, that means I do not have class on Wednesdays, which means Tuesday nights are open for exploring all that Colorado has to offer. One of my friends from Texas had never been to a Rockies game (Colorado's Major League Baseball team), so last Tuesday night, we made our way down to Coors Field to give him the full experience! Coors Field has a section called The Rockpile with $4 tickets. Your meal will cost you three times as much as your ticket!

School Spirit

Saturday, April 5, 2014

This weekend was spent showing my pride for CU Boulder by attending the Final Performance Showcase for the CU Express Dance team and also being part of Admitted Students Day with Student Ambassadors. The showcase consisted of a variety of dances coreographed by both coaches and dancers themselves to culminate their season. The show was awesome! I have a few friends on the team from high school and my classes here at CU, so it was awesome to see them in their element outside of an academic context. I posted a picture of the team and Chip below.

College Essentials

Monday, March 24, 2014

I was inspired to write this blog post after realizing my appreciation for my laundry basket. As silly as that sounds, this white little cube has stuck with me for the past four years of my time at CU, and I never expected it to be an essential part of my college experience. I have used my laundry basket not only for laundry, but also for transporting things between my house and school, bringing a big collection of ingredients to a friend's house for baking, or a storage place for things I knew I needed to make sure I took home to my parents the next time I saw them!

Intramurals All Around

Tuesday, March 18, 2014

If you've done much research about college, you know that intramural sports are one of the activities you MUST try before you graduate. Even with a busy Second-Semester-Senior schedule, I am playing on a dodgeball team with other Ambassadors and a basketball team (first time since middle school...) with some of my friends. After the basketball tournament in Aspen from my most recent post, I decided to join an intramural basketball team back at school!

Annex at Aspen

Tuesday, March 4, 2014

A theme of my senior year seems to be packing in all of my work during the week so that I can play on the weekends. This past weekend was no exception! Two of my friends and I made our way at 4 AM up to Aspen to ski at Snowmass for the day with one of the campus ministries we attend, The Annex. They were having their annual retreat that involves 80+ kids staying in the floor of a high school in Aspen, skiing for one day, and participating in an epic basketball tournament!

CU Basketball

Monday, February 24, 2014

It seems as though this semester is providing me with a crazy amount of opportunities to add to the "Things I've Done At CU" list! In about 10 weeks, I really will finish having completed four years of solid FUN at CU.

Up and Coming in Boulder

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

If you have not been able to tell, I love to explore and try new things. I always want to experience the hype around or make my own opinion about a new restaurant, place, or activity in Boulder! This week's opportunities certainly fit this category.

February Fiasco

Monday, February 10, 2014

Well, to say my weekend was anadventure would be an understatement! I spent a total of 22 hours in the car, 12 hours on skis, two hours on trampolines, and 14 hours asleep.
