Growing up in the suburbs Boston, Massachusetts, I have been surrounded by history, whether I liked it or not. We would take field trips to walk on the Freedom Trail and see where Cripus Attucks was shot and the Boston Massacre occured. Living in Lexington, we ate lunch on the Green, where the first shot of the Revolutionary War was heard around the world. Every Patriots' Day, there is a reenactment of the first battle of the Revolutionary War at 6 in the morning, and the entire town either participates or shows up.
