MAYMESTER + What to Expect from Me

Saturday, June 9, 2012

For the first (and last) time, I'm taking summer classes. The reasons being: I don't want to take 19 credit hours as usual during my final semester (Fall 2012) and would like to get much of the load out this summer. Also, I don't have an internship at home this summer so I might as well get 9 credits out of the way.

Anyway...

Summer classes are highly underated. I think everyone should take at least one before they graduate, especially during Maymester.

Little Known Secrets in StudyVille, Boulder II

Thursday, May 3, 2012

I did a post of favorite study hideouts last semester and this semester, I have a bunch more:

The library is probably not your best bet to get work done quietly and alone (I have barely ever studied in the library).

1. JILA Tower.

2. Department Labs (For me, I have access to the KESDAL lab at the GEOG building. You should have access to special rooms and labs in your department building after hours).

3. UMC 5th Floor.

4. Off-campus local Coffee Shops.

5. BOLD Center, Engineering.

Words With Friends and Myself.

Random  issues that have come up with friends and acquantances (and my own self) over the past few months:

1. 'O' is a letter and '0' is a number. It is ridiculous that we put 'O' in place of zero. How does F-U-N-M-I-L-A-Y-Zero sound?

2. Song of the year: Gift of Acceptance by Idan Raichel and India Arie.

"We can debate till the end of time who's wrong and who si right

Or I can honor your choices and you can honor mine..."

I Might As Well Have Lost A Diamond Heirloom in The Atlantic...

You know exactly what I mean when I say this if your computer has ever given up on you.

My computer crashed last week and almost my sanity with it. I try to convince myself that I can very much do without my pc but I guess not.

Bodily Rhythms!

Wednesday, March 7, 2012

Hello,

This past week was great! The African Students' Association participated in the Culture Shock, 2012 which attracted different cultural performances. We did our signature contemporary dance routine featuring dance steps from across the African continent.

And we came second:

My Snaps Make Even Ramen Look Good

Wednesday, February 29, 2012

I spend the majority of my little spare cash on my experiences. And that includes food. I attended a student leadership honor dinner, a conference in Oklahoma and had some time to make home cooking. So, my food potography album has new additions.

Here we go:

Breakfast(s): Home-made egg and butter sandwiches. With red and green grapes.

#10 of 101 Things to do Before You Graduate - [Get Published] - Patricia Hudak and Jullien Gordon

1. Browsing through the list of 101 things, there are more than a few that I've already done. So, we'll start with those. In my sophmore year, I wrote an article which the Colorado Daily featured. It was a thrill to have people recognize me and commend the article, especially one of my professors.
