So, over Winter Break, my boyfriend, Steven, and I watched a lot of Netflix documentaries...a lot.  It’s a symptom of being burned out from a crazy semester and not having cable. But, even though we were watching a lot of television, we were learning even more. Our documentaries of choice? Forks Over Knives and Food, Inc. types. All of these documentaries had the same theme --- over processed food is killing us. After doing all this “research,” we decided that it was time for us to eat better.

To Do: Get Organized

Sunday, January 27, 2013

With all of the things there are to do within the first few weeks of school, it is easy to let things slip between the cracks. I had so much to do the first few days of class that I already forgot about two assignments! Thankfully, my professors were very understanding. Even though this is my last semester, I still don’t seem to have this organization thing down. So, I thought it would be helpful to share some of my organization tips to make the beginning of the semester as stress free as possible!

Fun with...finals?

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

Yeah yeah, I know. Fun and finals should not go in the same sentence. But, you guys, it's almost the end of the semester, which means next semester is coming soon, which means that I will be a second semester senior, which means that I have to graduate...in a matter of months. I have to leave CU and get a job and become a grown up and actually apply everything I've learned in my time here to real life.

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Sunday, December 2, 2012

It's the most wonderful time of the year!...well, almost.

As Christmas lights go up, and holiday banquets and celebrations commence, classes are wrapping up and finals are quickly approaching.  Yes, the dreaded finals week--the week where sleep takes a back seat and coffee becomes as important as air. But, you know, it doesn’t have to be as stressful as some might make it seem. You see, it’s all about balance.

Safety First

Monday, November 12, 2012

So, you may have heard that Boulder is a sleepy little college town, when it comes to crime rates, and this is true. In fact, the biggest crime here is property theft. Can you guess what is stolen the most? Bikes. There are so many bikes in this city--- even more than cars…and I like to joke that some of these bikes cost even more than my car. So, Boulder is a quiet, safe college town.

Use Your Voice

Sunday, November 4, 2012

In case you didn’t notice, there is an election going on. But, if you’re like many Americans and you’re tired of all of the campaigning don’t worry because all of the ads, campaign stops, and volunteers on the prowl will soon be gone because Election Day is right around the corner! This election is especially exciting to me because it’s the first Presidential Election I get to vote in.

Adventure is Out There!

Sunday, October 28, 2012

Well everyone, we are closing in on November. November! What?! Halloweekend is coming to an end and Christmas decorations are taking over the aisle of our favorite retail giants. But there is this little holiday in between Halloween and Christmas, isn’t there? Oh yes! Thanksgiving.

I am so excited for Thanksgiving this year. One week off--- with few school related things to worry about, with time to do whatever I want! So what am I doing with my week? Hopping on a plane to explore DC.

Bad Days Come and Bad Days Go

Sunday, October 21, 2012

So, maybe you’re under the impression that Boulder and CU are this wonderful, magical wonderland where nothing upsetting ever happens. While this is true, 99% of the time, sometimes a bad day sneaks up on you when you’re least expecting and enjoying all the magic that is CU.
