Glacier Homemade Ice Cream

Wednesday, April 9, 2014

Hi everyone,

I remember once when I was little, when my family was travelling around the east coast, we toured the Ben and Jerry’s factory in Vermont.  I was maybe 5 or 6 years old, but I still have very distinct memories of being there, walking around, seeing the machines that put ice cream into the cartons, and, of course, the free samples at the end.

Roped In on the First Flatiron

Tuesday, April 8, 2014

As Spring Break wound down, and the reality of the sprint finish towards finals set in. I was sitting in my backyard with Flip wondering how we could squeeze out the final drops of our glorious week off.

Rock Climbing the 1st Flatiron

Tuesday, April 8, 2014

Hi all!

As many of you know, Boulder is a very active and outdoorsy city. No matter what the weather, people are always running, biking, hiking or doing some sort of outdoor activity. Boulder is also home to some of the best rock climbing, bouldering and climbing gyms. The other day, I decided to take advantage of the great climbing opportunities by rock climbing one of the Flatirons.

Baseball, Baseball, Baseball (All Weekend)

Monday, April 7, 2014

Hi all!

It’s finally beginning to feel like spring in Boulder again. And that means that summer is right around the corner! The last few weeks of spring semester are always particularly busy and interesting for me. Between school, intramurals, club baseball, and other outdoor activities, there is always something interesting going on.

Skiing at Loveland

Sunday, April 6, 2014

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone is doing well, and enjoying some Spring-time warmth! Having lived in Colorado almost my whole life, I am fully aware that Spring means Snow! Which is great, because we need the moisture.  It also makes for great skiing.

School Spirit

Saturday, April 5, 2014

This weekend was spent showing my pride for CU Boulder by attending the Final Performance Showcase for the CU Express Dance team and also being part of Admitted Students Day with Student Ambassadors. The showcase consisted of a variety of dances coreographed by both coaches and dancers themselves to culminate their season. The show was awesome! I have a few friends on the team from high school and my classes here at CU, so it was awesome to see them in their element outside of an academic context. I posted a picture of the team and Chip below.

A Weekend Hiatus in Moab

Thursday, April 3, 2014

As a lacrosse player, the concept of a week-long beach vacation for spring break is little more than a fallacy for me. Every year, the team plays games for break, and thus we spend the week grounded in Boulder when the rest of the school bails to somewhere with sandy beaches.

Well, for the first time since I started competitively playing lacrosse, I was given a few days of break to myself. Our coaches gave us three entire days off. When given a gift like this, the only option is to ask yourself, what is the most epic thing I can do today?

Impromptu Trip to Utah

Hi all,

I hope everyone has been enjoying the first couple of days of Spring as much as I have! This past week, we have been on Spring Break, and it has been a break to be remembered.

College Essentials

Monday, March 24, 2014

I was inspired to write this blog post after realizing my appreciation for my laundry basket. As silly as that sounds, this white little cube has stuck with me for the past four years of my time at CU, and I never expected it to be an essential part of my college experience. I have used my laundry basket not only for laundry, but also for transporting things between my house and school, bringing a big collection of ingredients to a friend's house for baking, or a storage place for things I knew I needed to make sure I took home to my parents the next time I saw them!

Springtime!

Sunday, March 23, 2014

Hello everyone!

CU Boulder is on Spring break!  I know a lot of people going out of town, or road tripping with friends, but I am just going home, to Centennial, CO, which is just south of Denver.  I am really looking forward to spending time with my parents and relaxing at home.  I am also hoping to get some skiing in! Unfortunately, I have a lot to do over break, including some projects for some classes and I have to find a summer job.  But I am definitely looking forward to doing nothing for a while!
