Why Junior Year is Wasted On Juniors

Wednesday, December 10, 2014

As an incredibly stressed out and over-involved junior, I am really discovering the truth in the saying "youth is wasted on the young" and "the grass is always greener on the other side."

Why I Went Greek

Monday, December 8, 2014

When I came to CU Boulder my freshman year, my older sister, Katie, was a senior here. She had joined a sorority her sophomore year and absolutely loved being a part of Greek Life. I looked at her college career and thought about how much fun she looked like she was having and I decided that I wanted to join. I rushed my freshman year a few weeks into fall semester. I was really overwhelmed and could not sleep the night before because I was so nervous. I remember walking to the first house and hearing the chants of the sorority girls and felt my stomach drop.

Top Notch Volunteer Opportunities

Friday, December 5, 2014

Hi everyone,

Probably at this point, you know that I am in a volunteer fraternity on campus, Alpha Phi Omega.  Actually, as I'm writing this, I am sitting in our office in the UMC!  This semester is my second semester with the group and I have had so much fun this semester volunteering with different organizations.

I wanted to write a blog to talk about some of the best events I've done this semester to show the diversity of our volunteer opportunities.

Reasons why I love volunteering:

1. It allows you to give back to community, in a fun way.

HRAP Life

Monday, December 1, 2014

Hi everyone!

I'm digging through the archives for this one... but one of the best decisions I've made throughout my college carreer is joining HRAP.  I got accepted into the Honors Program before I was a Freshman, and that allowed me to live in the Honors Residential Academic Program.  To this day, some of my most favorite memories are from Freshman year, with the amazing friends I made in my hall.

CU in Review

Monday, December 1, 2014

Hi all!

For my last post of the year, I want to do a recap of the top moments of my past 3 and a half years at CU. As would be expected for someone who has gotten involved and stayed active, there are a lot of memorable times. I will do my best to capture each year and the enormous amounts of opportunity available to students at CU.

Get Involved!

Sunday, November 30, 2014

Hi all!

Hope all is well. In this post I would like to write about some of the great student groups and clubs that I have been a part of in my time at CU. At a big school like CU, there are so many opportunities and groups to get involved in. Below I detail some of my personal favorites.

CU Basketball

Sunday, November 30, 2014

Hi All!

As many of you many know, CU has a great Men’s Basketball team. For the past 4 years, winters in Colorado have been made even better with numerous CU basketball wins. This year, we look to return to the top 25 and make it to the NCAA Tournament in March again.

Thanksgiving in Santa Fe

Sunday, November 30, 2014

Hi all!

I hope that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

I spent the last week in Santa Fe, New Mexico visiting family. We left Wednesday morning and all piled into our Honda Odyssey. In total, there were six of us and Louis, our golden doodle dog. After the six hour drive, we arrived in Santa Fe at my uncle’s beautiful mountainside home.

Thanksgiving at Home

Friday, November 28, 2014

This past week, I have been back in my hometown in California for Thanksgiving break. I have gotten to spend a lot of time with my family and friends that I have known my entire life. Yesterday was Thanksgiving, and I must say that it was definitely one of the best yet. We started off the morning by watching Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving episode that actually aired the night before while my dad watched football in the other room.
