Thanksgiving break is coming to a close, and as always, it flew by too fast! I was able to go to Winter Park to a friend's cabin for a night with a morning full of skiing. Even without the snow, WP has made fake snow and the mountain was actually pretty fun to ski! On the way home from Winter Park I always stop at a little treat shop called Lewis Sweet Shop in Empire, Colorado. They make the most amazing milkshakes! They have at least 20 flavors to choose from, and if you order yours thick it's like a blended soft served piled twice as high in the cup. I look forward to it every time, and it might be one of the most special places in Colorado to me! I attached a picture below.
I was home for the week in Centennial and got to catch up with a lot of my friends. My favorite restaurant, Snooze, is five minutes from my house, so I had lots of breakfast dates there. On Thanksgiving, I went with two of my friends to run the Turkey Day 5K in Highlands Ranch, CO. We wanted to get in a few miles before the meal later! The weather was absolutely perfect for a run through the suburbs. I also got to do some shopping with mom thanks to all the sales!
Tonight, I'm headed back to Boulder to watch my Buffs Basketball take on Air Force! CU Basketball was ranked number 23 by the AP last week, so we should have an awesome season ahead! I've always liked basketball more than football... It's faster paced and indoors so I can stay warm :)
Hope you all had a great holiday! Crazy to think in three weeks I'll be taking finals and getting ready for the next semester!
