This weekend was a very busy one. With midterms beginning last week and continuing this week I filled my mornings with lots of Starbucks, my colored pens, and my laptop. Last week I had exams in Physics and Endocrinology, and this week I have them in Physiology and Abnormal Psychology. I enjoy going to coffee shops on Pearl Street to study because the library is scarily quiet for me. I really enjoy the background music, the people, and just being able to soak in the life of Boulder. My favorite coffee shop is the Laughing Goat on Pearl. They have local acoustic bands that play most evenings during the week and it is a great place to just grab a hot latte on a rainy day. After studying all morning on Saturday I came home and decided I needed to get out and do something. My roommates, neighbors, and I all walked to the “Rocket Ship Park” down from our apartment complex. We played Frisbee, tanned on the field for a few hours, and got back just in time to watch the Buffs game. I wasn't really expecting too much of our football team but ran for the remote when I heard our neighbors yelling and jumping at the TV. We were on the 50 yard line with the ball about to come back from a 17 point deficit in the 4th quarter of the game!! It was a very exciting end of the game and it was even better that it ended with a buffalo win! As coach Embree said after the win; "Never underestimate the heart of a buffalo". This upcoming weekend is FAMILY WEEKEND and my parent's are coming up for the game and a brunch with my sorority on Saturday.

This past weekend I also attended my sorority retreat all afternoon where we got to get to know our new members (who just received bids a week ago) and set goals for the upcoming semester. I am so excited for all of the events we have planned this semester so definitely check back for updates on those! After retreat we all enjoyed a sisterhood at Nordstrom’s Rack where we had a private shopping event with music, dancing, dessert, and free gift cards!! It was a great way to end a busy weekend and relax with my sisters before my exams this week!
