St. Pattys and Country Concerts

Happy St. Patrick’s Day weekend! The past two days have been full of catching up with friends who are abroad in Europe and were fortunate enough to go to Ireland for the day! While of course it was still incredibly fun here in Boulder, Ireland seems unreal. Although I do love the education program here at CU, the only downfall is that the classes are semester specific and I’m unable to go abroad without staying at school for another semester. I’ve attached a link to my favorite blog that I’ve been following, which is the blog of my three wonderful friends in Rome.

My St. Patrick’s Day celebration culminated when my roommate from freshman year and I headed off to an absolutely incredible Mirada Lambert concert at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield.  Jerrod Niemann and Chris Young opened for her, which was amazing too! I’m a HUGE fan of country music. I think my love for it started with my best friend from high school making me my first country mix—coincidentally she is also the reason why I’m here at CU blogging right now.  My first country concert was at Denver’s famous Grizzly Rose freshman year of college, and ever since I’ve been hooked. The Grizzly Rose is pretty much my “go-to” country place, but I’m always up for country anytime, anywhere. Miranda sang only her greatest hits, and she looked absolutely beautiful too! I’d definitely recommend seeing a Miranda Lambert concert if you have not seen her, or go download some of her songs if you haven’t listened to any! (Kerosene, The House that Build Me, and Gunpowder and Lead are my personal favorites!)
