Spring is Definitely Here

Monday, April 9, 2012

Hey everyone! Spring break is over and it's time to get back to the real world of midterms, papers, homework, and eventually: finals.

Luckily for us, the weather has been absolutely perfect. It's been over 70 degrees for a few weeks and the sun has been out almost the whole time. Unfortunately that's kind of put the last nail in the coffin of this ski season, but opened up the door to all the summer activities we love here at CU. It seems like every week I spend more and more time outside doing homework on Farrand field, sleeping on Norlin quad, playing campus golf all across campus. The great weather has definitely help distract me from school (for better or for worse, though probably for worse) and keep me relaxed during this stressful part of the year.

With the warm weather comes the return of some warm weather sports, namely frisbee. It's hard to play in the winter when it can be windy and the cold makes catching and throwing a pretty painful experience. When it's sunny, barely breezy, and warm, frisbee is the only thing I want to do. Some fraternity brothers of mine and I started an intramural frisbee team this term and we've been at it for a few weeks now. We're not too terribly bad, but we're also not too amazingly good. Since we're in the least competitive league of the intramural organization, most of our games are more just for fun rather than super heated brawls. If only we could consistenly have enough of us show up so that we could have a substitute or two, because it's tiring running up and down that field with no rest! Hopefully our team practices will pay off and I'll get to show you guys what an intramural championship shirt looks like!

Please enjoy this quality picture of my cleats and frisbee from yesterday's unfortunate loss.

My awesome cleats and frisbee.
