This weekend, a snow storm hit Boulder. While for many people this means it's time to curl up on the couch, start a fire, and watch The Notebook, for my and friends and me, it means it's time to play outside. When we saw how much it was going to snow, we got so excited and couldn't wait for the weekend ahead of us. Being from California, I get way too excited when it starts to snow and although it's February and it has snowed plenty of times this year, I still run around the house screaming for everyone to go outside.
On Sunday, I woke up to everyone yelling in the hallway. When I got up and walked out of my room, I saw everyone frantically running around putting on ski clothes. When I asked what was going on everyone just told me that we were all going sledding and that I needed to get dressed. After breakfast, I asked everyone I know if I could borrow ski pants and a jacket since I don't have these essentials. Once we were all dressed and ready, we headed over to Home Depot to buy cheap sleds. We went over to a park on 30th and Arapahoe and found a hill filled with people sledding down it. I realized that the last time I had sledded was when I was in 6th grade. We all sled down this hill for about an hour! It was such a fun day filled with tons of snow and laughter!
