This weekend was spent showing my pride for CU Boulder by attending the Final Performance Showcase for the CU Express Dance team and also being part of Admitted Students Day with Student Ambassadors. The showcase consisted of a variety of dances coreographed by both coaches and dancers themselves to culminate their season. The show was awesome! I have a few friends on the team from high school and my classes here at CU, so it was awesome to see them in their element outside of an academic context. I posted a picture of the team and Chip below.
Admitted Students Day is also one of my favorite days of the year! All the Student Ambassadors (around 80 of us!) are called into Coors Event Center at 5:45 AM on a Saturday morning to help guide admitted students and their families around CU's campus. We get bagels for breakfast and are then sent out to various positions all over campus to help people find their way. It's an awesome opportunity to meet incoming students, share my perspective on campus life, and also get to bond with fellow Ambassadors. This year, we got the chance to sit in the 4-Wheeler police vehicles (for fun, not for apprehension!). The carts go like 60 miles per hour and have some of the comfiest seats I've ever sat in! I can add that to the list of things I have gotten to do at CU :) I posted a picture of us all below.
