Quick Trips

One of the best things about college is the variable scheduling. For me, that means I do not have class on Wednesdays, which means Tuesday nights are open for exploring all that Colorado has to offer. One of my friends from Texas had never been to a Rockies game (Colorado's Major League Baseball team), so last Tuesday night, we made our way down to Coors Field to give him the full experience! Coors Field has a section called The Rockpile with $4 tickets. Your meal will cost you three times as much as your ticket! SO naturally, the people who are not attending the game to really focus on baseball often find themselves in the Rockpile. We drove down to the game, bought a bag of peanuts from a street vendor, and made our way to where The People sit! There we watched the sunset and watched the Rockies lose. But we had an endless amount of fun learning the proper form of cracking, spitting, and eating sunflower seeds from veteran baseball players sitting around us!

The most fun of the night, besides just getting to introduce a Texas friend to more of Colorado's pastimes, was getting Little Man Ice Cream after the game. It's an awesome little ice cream stand in the heart of Denver and I never pass up a chance to go! We stopped there on the way home before heading back up to resume real life again the next day. Sometimes, a little escape is all you need to get you through the rest of the week! I posted a picture of our group below.

The gang at the game! Can you tell who is our Texan here?
