Hello and happy Sunday! This past week has been pretty busy, but thankfully not too busy. It was very easy getting back into the swing of things after coming back from thanksgiving break. There were definitely times this past week when I wished my mom was here to make me a nice home cooked meal after attending class in -7 degree weather, but I made it through. As I said in my last post, the weather this past week (2nd-7th), has been brutally cold. Since freshman year, I think this is the first time where it has been in the single digits and negatives for multiple days in a row. For example, when I walked to class on Tuesday, it was -15 degrees out. I cant really even explain how cold that really felt. My face was numb by the time I arrived at class. I will put some pictures of the winter wonderland at the bottom of this post to give you an idea of how much snow there was!
I am really thankful that this upcoming weak is supposed to be a little bit warmer. This next week is going to be the busiest. Not only do I have two huge group projects to complete, but it is now time to turn in the last bits of homework, finalize all my papers, and start studying for finals! In my head I am stressing out a little just thinking of all I have to do, but then I tell myself, “Madisen, there is only two weeks left, then it will be winter break…. You can do it!”. Another large motivational factor besides winter break, is that next semester (spring semester), I will only have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays!! I have worked really hard these past 31/2 years to be able to have my last semester of college be the easiest one! I definitely recommend this strategy if you can pull It off! It is crazy to think that I am a senior here at CU. Time goes by so quickly and before you know it, it will all be over. Whatever college you do decide to attend, take advantage of every minute, because these are going to be the best years of you life!
On a sports related side note...The CU mens basketball team beat Kansas yesterday (Saturday 12/7) 75-72! Our mens baskeball team is pretty amazing! I am so glad that I decided to get the football + basketball student pass! It has been worth every penny!
