Well, this week I am back at my internship in Boston. It's definitely strange though, since my supervisor is on vacation until my last day. Needless to say there is not much work to do, which is fine by me! This past weekend I went down to Long Island to see my friend who just graduated from CU Boulder. Since I was abroad last semester, I haven't seen him since December, so it was really nice to finally get to see him! It was a really relaxing weekend, and we just hung out by the pool and made some delicious Italian food (he was an Italian major) and hung out. Nice change of pace for sure!
Tonight, my favorite soccer (or Calcio, I should say) team, AS Roma, is playing here in Boston at Fenway Park. I had a ticket to go, but unfortunately I couldn't find a sub to cover my shift at work, so I had to give it up. I'm super bummed! It should be a really good game, and I think Fenway is the perfect place for it! Usually all of the foreign teams that play here have to go all the way to Gillete Stadium, where the New England Patriots play, except Gillete is a good hour and a half outside of the city. But Fenways is right near Back Bay and right on a T line, so a lot of people can get to it without a problem. Wish I could be going!
It's definitely crazy that July is coming to an end, because that means that in exactly one month I'll be coming back to Boulder! Hopefully it will have cooled down a little bit by then. I really can't stand the heat! On that note, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to anyone who has been affected by the tragic occurence in Aurora this past week. We are all thinking about you here in Boston, and you're all in our thoughts!
That's it for now! Hope everyone has a great weekend, and FORZA ROMA!
