Over the past few weeks, I've been trying out a few different places to work out. I had never worked out very much before I came to CU Boulder, but as it is the healthiest city in America, I couldn't help but be influenced. There are so many awesome work out studios in Boulder that offer a bunch of different classes. These are types of classes that I had never heard of before I came here, such as hula hooping. I have yet to try this class, but it's definitely on my list of things to do before I leave for the summer.
The first place I went to is called Core Power Yoga. This yoga studio is on The Hill, which is incredibly close to campus. Most of the classes are hot yoga and they offer great student discount deals with the occasional free class. If you have never tried hot yoga, I highly recommend it. Although you get really sweaty during the class, it is so worth it and you feel amazing afterwards. Another great place that I recently went to is called Alchemy of Movement. The class that I attended is called Soul Sweat and is a dance class that truly lives up to its name. The teacher that taught our class was so awesome and instructed an amazing work out class that I definitely want to attend again. This studio also offers unique classes such as Hoop Dance, Barre Physique, and Urban Hip Hop. But the closest and easiest place to work out is right here on campus. The University of Colorado Rec Center is a great facility. It offers many classes for only $5 and has multiple rooms with excercise equipment, rock climbing wall, and an ice rink. So if you're looking for a way to keep up with the healthiest city in America, make sure you try out these awesome studios.
