It's the most wonderful time of the year! As the holidays are fastly approaching, there is holiday spirit in the air. Everywhere you look in Boulder, there is something special to put you in the holiday mood. All of the shopping centers are decorated with strings of lights, wreaths, and garland. It just puts everyone in a great mood as they walk around in the cold weather, or as of right now, 70 degree weather. This is my favorite time of the year because everyone is smiling and laughing everywhere you look. Here in my sorority, we have done a few things that have made me wish that it was a little bit closer to the holidays.
On Tuesday, we held a sisterhood, which is where our standards committee puts on an event for all of the girls in my sorority to attend. This past sisterhood was one of my favorites. We were told that we were going to be having a holiday party and that there would be two huge surprises. As we all changed into our tacky Christmas sweaters and santa hats, we were eager to find out what the surprise would be. When we went downstairs we were told to go to the sideyard to see the surprise. When we walked out there there were two huge reindeer waiting for us. We got to pet the reindeer and take pictures with them. It was such a cool thing to do and definitely put me into a great holiday mood. When we went ack inside there were boys from the fraternity next door there to sing us some Christmas carols. Because after all, the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.
