Happy hour in Boulder

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

Hey there!

This week I thought I would name drop a few places I enjoy going to for happy hour! By happy hour, I mean GREAT food for CHEAP prices. Even if you aren't 21 yet, you can still gather a group of friends and indulge in the many happy hour deals that happen throughout the week at many places in Boulder. I have only chosen to share 3, but these are my top picks. I'm sure there are many other great deals out there.

The Mediterranean-or "The Med" as you will hear it referred to around here-is the go-to place for tapas (and sangria if you are of-age). They have a happy hour 7 days-a-week from 3:00-6:30pm. They also have one of the most extensive menus I've ever seen! Anything from small finger food to pizzas, The Med is awesome! The link to their website is below:

Centro is a fun and quirky Latin cuisine-type place located on Pearl Street. They have "all-day" happy hour on Mondays and you can't go wrong with their pork or veggie tacos and pork green chile nachos. Everything on their happy hour menu ranges in price from $3-4 dollars. Not bad when you are a starving and poor college student!!

Last but NOT least...

Cafe Aion is Boulder's best kept secret. Located just across the street from the well-known Sink on The Hill, Cafe Aion has "all-day" happy hour on Tuesdays. Serving primarily local and organic combinations of food, they have the best homemade hummus and cupcakes! They also serve some pretty great drinks.

It's worth noting that all the places I have mentioned are LOCAL restaurants. Each place as a fun and unique atmosphere and well... of course... they each serve AWESOME food. One of the ways I survive my social life and going out to eat, while in college and while in Boulder, is finding the best places with the best happy hour. I challenge you to do the same when you get here!

Until next time,

Kathryn
