What a busy week!! Last Wednesday, my dad came to visit me for the evening! We went to dinner at Sherpa, an absolutely delicious Tibetan restaurant on Walnut St. in Boulder.
The next night (Thursday) I went with my friend Stephanie Blackwell (be sure to check out her blog if you have a chance!) to formal for her sorority, Kappa Kappa Gamma. It was fun having a chance to dress up in nice dresses and do our makeup, we did, however, wear sneakers instead of heels. The formal took place in one of the banquet type rooms in Folsom Field- which was awesome! We danced for hours, took pictures in the photobooth, and spent A LOT of time at the amazing chocolate fountain table.
On Saturday, I drove to Denver to pick up my mom, who stayed for the weekend. We drove up Boulder Canyon and I showed her my favorite rock climbing spots. We then wandered through the shops on Pearl St. until dinner at Brasserie Ten Ten, a wonderful French restaurant on Walnut St. The next morning I got to take her with me to my church, Flatirons Community Church in Lafayette and introduce her to some of my friends there. We then went to brunch with a family friend at Lucile's, a cajun-style restaurant on Pine St. We enjoyed another awesome meal and after a few errands I drove her to the airport and said goodbye until after finals.
I love having people, especially family, come visit me because we get to explore and try new restaurants and they get to buy me a meal I could never afford on a college student budget :).
