My roommates and I are big football fans, as we are men. Since we are all Colorado natives, so we are all passionate Broncos fans, and Peyton Manning is our new favorite player. Despite the tragic loss last week, we are still very proud of our Donkeys (as they have been affectionately nicknamed) and are already holding our breath for the start of next season.

When we were first moving in and setting up our cable there wasn't even a discussion as to whether or not we would add Red Zone. For those of you that don't know, Red Zone is a special channel that costs an additional $9 per month, but it gets us uninterrupted, commercial free, NFL football every Sunday. This type of service has many repucussions. First and foremost it means that we can wake up around 10:30, eat some breakfast, turn the games on at 11, sit down, and not move from the couch for the following 8 hours, with the only exceptions being to eat and use the bathroom. The picture I have attached is of the perverbial "Quad Box" this means that when there is lots of exciting things going on at one time around the league they put up a quartered screen, each segment showing a different game. Bottom line here is that if you are a football fan, you need Red Zone. When you think about it, I only have to pay an additional $2 per month to get all of the football that I can handle.

I'm writing this as the San Francisco 49ers won the NFC Championship, stamping their ticket to the Super Bowl, and the Patriots/Ravens game is about to start. If you are a fan of any of these teams, best of luck, otherwise, I guess you play the same waiting game that I am, and count the days until the season starts again in the fall.

Until Next Time,
