Family Dinner!

Tuesday, October 2, 2012

The last weekend has been so crazy! Since I didn't have midterms this week I got to take some time and relax with my friends. On Friday night my sorority "family" came over and we had a wonderful time ordering deep dish pizza from Papa Romano’s, dancing to some "Gangnam Style", and making pumpkin chocolate chip cookies to get in the fall mood of course!! While making the cookies we realized we only had sea salt in our apartment. Normal people would probably foresee this being problematic, but we really didn't see a problem so just kept baking away. Every few bites would contain a salty crystal but overall I must say the cookies were quite delicious and our neighbors didn't have too much trouble devouring them all, minutes after they came out of the oven.

On Saturday I went to the football game with a bunch of friends. Before we went we had a BBQ and played volleyball! It was so warm outside and it was the first home game I was able to attend this year! It was really exciting to be back in the sea of gold shirts singing our CU Fight Song! After the game I went with a bunch of friends up to Fort Collins to visit good friends from high school, where they wouldn't stop bragging about beating us in football. We went to a place called "Fuzzy Tacos" where we got these delicious quesadillas and visited the fraternity house of one of my friends up there. They call it the "frat castle" but really it kind of looks like a farm cottage but I wouldn't want to ruin his pride. After spending the night up there we drove back early Sunday morning.

On Sunday I had a very peaceful day full of crock-pot cooking, TLC shows, football, and a trip to Ripple Frozen Yogurt at 10 at night with my roommate Kate! I also found out that I will OFFICIALLY be travelling to Florence in the spring for Study Abroad. I am so excited and can't wait to have the most amazing experience of my life! I will definitely be soaking in the Italian life and be living on a diet of pasta and gelato. It will be perfect. Anyway I hope that you all enjoy the rest of your week and I can't wait to tell you all about my trip to Italy in the spring! :)
