Now I am a die hard Buff. Winning, losing, or otherwise I am at every game. However, it sure is nice when they are winning, and that is exactly what the men’s basketball team has been doing. Last year the won the Pac-12 tournament and reached the round of 32 in the NCAA tournament. The season tipped off last Friday, and the Buffs crushed Wofford.
I am one of the leaders of the C-Unit, the student section at the basketball game. Particularly, my job is to lead the roller coaster (along with Max Nathanson another blogger on this site). The picture attached is actually me leading the crowd in the roller coaster.
Really though, the student section at CU-Boulder is a whole lotta fun. Last season we were ranked the 4th best student section in the country. We have a few really fun traditions, and we are expected the student section to be sold out for most of the games this season. If you are interested in keeping up with what the C-Unit is doing, I encourage you to follow @CUnitBuffs on twitter. The things I have to say are pretty interesting (said sarcastically).
Among other sweet perks of being a die hard Buff fan, the 50 students who attend the most basketball games (men’s and women’s) throughout the season are invited on an all-expense paid trip to Las Vegas at the end of the year to cheer on the Buffs in the Pac-12 Tournament.
In short, CU basketball is sweet, and if you enjoy basketball at all, the Buffs are really fun to watch. Keep your eyes peeled because if this season goes as well as hoped they should end up getting some national coverage.
Until Next Time,
