Waking up before noon on a Saturday or Sunday after a night out with friends may seem less than thrilling...
Boulder has some of the best places to grab breakfast that it's worth getting you and your friends' butts outta bed to check out!!
Bonus: college town=relatively cheap places
My list of top 5 breakfast places (in no particular order):
2.) Foolish Craig's
4.) The Buff
5.) Walnut Street Cafe
Although I have listed these as my favorites, Boulder has many more restaraunts that I'm sure serve up a mean breakfast as well.
This place just opened in Boulder not too long ago and it has wonderful food and a great atmosphere. It is located on Pearl Street and offers a full menu of breakfast and brunch items. They have multiple locations including Denver, Fort Collins, and San Diego. I was in South Denver this past weekend, visiting my best friend, and we decided to check out the location there. I was still impressed and delightfully satisfied by the food and service. We pigged out and each ordered eggs, toast, hashbrowns, and split a giant pancake. Best morning ever. Here is a pic:
Foolish Craig's has been in Boulder for awhile. They were featured on Food Network's Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, as well as Travel Channel's Man vs. Food. They are located on Pearl Street and are known for their variations of crepes on the menu. In addition to breakfast, they also serve lunch and dinner. The atmosphere again is fun and friendly-would you expect anything less in Boulder?! :)
This joint is similar to Snooze because of its hip and modern atmosphere and the contemporary spin it puts on breakfast and brunch. It is also new to town. The inside of the restaurant is entirely "tangerine" just as you would suspect. It is located in NoBo (North Boulder) and definitely worth checking out!!
Aaaahhhh.... a classic. This place is located behind a Best Western hotel, The Golden Buffalo, on 28th & Canyon. Everyone who is anyone knows about this breakfast place. Talk about the perfect place to go after a long night out. They have skillets, grillers, and basic breakfast items. I have also heard they have great bloody mary's and mimosas.... not that I would know yet, 1 month kiddos. :)
Last but not least....
There's the original and Southside. I used to live right across the street from the Southside location, located on Tablemesa Drive in Boulder, and loved it. They have amazing breakfast plates and my favorite.... banana walnut pancakes!! They also make a mean latte and everything inside is homemade. They make homemade Quiche, pies, and cakes daily. I go for breakfast, brunch, and lunch... sometimes all in one day.
There you have it... my favorite breakfast places in Boulder!!
So wake up sleepyheads and get your grub on!!!!!!!
