I was really hoping that this storm was a belated April Fools joke...but apparently not! I can't believe that the weather turned to this so quickly! Just another reason why I love Boulder, it always keeps you on your toes! I'm really glad I didn't send my winter stuff home last week like I was supposed to. I guess procrastination pays off sometimes!
This past weekend was so much fun, and I'm so glad the storm held off for us! On Saturday we had our spring philanthropy for Colorado Children's Hospital! It was a bit bittersweet because it was my last philanthropy, and even though they're a lot of work and kind of stressful, I always love supporting such great causes and interacting with the local community and the Greek community as well! Since we called it Tri Delta Triple Scoop, we served ice cream and root beer floats that were all delicious! It was a lot of fun! Then on Sunday we went to the Rockies game down in Denver! It was a beautiful day, and even though I don't cheer for the Rockies or the Padres (Red Sox all day every day!) it was still a really great time. Then Monday night was Kappa Kappa Gamma's philanthropy, Kappa Jam, which was a dodgeball tournament. In all of my four years here, it was probably one of the most fun philanthropies I've attended! Even though my team lost, it was a great way to start off Greek Week and get us into the competitive spirit!
That being said, Greek Week starts Friday! I'm so excited! Hopefully our team will be successful in all of the events! I'll keep everyone posted!
Have a great week and stay warm!
