Being a runner in Boulder
There is no shortage of amazing views, winding paths and empty roads to greet anyone coming to boulder and looking to run. I only recently got into the running scene and was dumb founded with the community that greeted me. There will always be a fellow Boulder resident itching for another running partner and often times your partner will push you further than you ever thought possible. All you need to do to get started is to head on down to Boulder running company and they will set you up with everything you need as well as some suggestions of where to go to match your level. I am lucky enough to live just west of campus and have all of Boulder canyon and Chitaqua less than a mile from my house offering superb trail runs right out of my front door however if you live elsewhere in Boulder and are looking for a run there is no reason to think you will be left out of the running world. If you head any direction of town, particularly north or south you will be met with public open space crisscrossed with smooth dirt trails. Furthermore while you run you have beautiful views of the mountains passing by alongside you like the one in the picture above. An added bonus of running in Boulder is when you are ready to show off your running skills and enter a race of whatever size you will surely succeed at anything lower in altitude as I found out when I went back down in elevation and a little closer to sea level!
