The first week of my senior year is in the books. This week, I met most of my teachers, sorted out most of my schedule woes, and learned that I love my walk to school.
But, between advising appointments, book buying madness, meetings and homework I was more than ready for my long Labor Day Weekend. And what a weekend it has been!
Here at CU and Boulder, opportunities are around every corner. Opportunities to make connections for the future, opportunities to better yourself and opportunities to attend events you wouldn’t normally be able to. The university hosts speakers every year through the Distinguished Speakers board and hosts the Conference on world affairs and each of these events are usually offered free or at a reduced cost to students. In the last five months, I have been lucky enough to see the President of the United States speak at my campus twice.
Being able to see these notable speakers and be a part of CU history is definitely one of my favorite parts about being a Buff.
If this is how the first week of the year turned out, I cannot wait to see what else is in store!
