This week, we celebrated America’s 236th birthday. It was so nice to not only have a day off in the middle of the week, but to also take time to appreciate all that America is.

Call it American Exceptionalism, call it Nationalism, call it whatever, but I am proud to be an American.

On top of that, I am proud to be a Coloradan. I am proud of our skies, of our sunshine, and our fourteeners,  I am proud that I know the elevation of major Colorado cities, but not the population, and thanks to our elevation I am proud that I can run up all the steps at the Capitol without having to stop for breath. . .

The last few days have been a roller-coaster with the fires here in Colorado, but I have been overwhelmed with pride as I watch my fellow Coloradans volunteer whatever resources they can.

Tonight, I am simply proud.

And I think it goes without saying, I am proud to be a Buff.

For those of you that are thinking of joining the Buff family and the Colorado family, know that you will be welcomed with open arms and greeted with smiling faces. With so many unique areas and activites, you will undoubtedly  find your place. Also know that you are in for the adventure of a lifetime.

Also! It's kind of silly but there are many "You Know You're from Colorado When..." lists out there, but this one is my favorite because it also doubles as a Colorado Bucket List.

And speaking of Colorado Bucket List . . .
